Exclusive Wild haircare range at Tesco following partnership extension

Sustainable natural body care brand Wild has expanded its partnership with Tesco, launching standalone bays in supermarkets across the UK.

Adding to its existing range of deodorants stocked in Tesco stores, Wild will introduce the brand new selection of body washes and first ever compostable haircare range. The shampoos and conditioners are exclusively available for retail purchase at Tesco stores, with no availability on the Wild website.

The ranges are formulated with natural ingredients designed to nourish the skin and come with a 100% plastic-free case for life. These compostable refills offer customers a convenient and eco-friendly way to reduce plastic waste in the bathroom, as they break down naturally – leaving no harmful traces such as microplastics.

In 69 stores, Wild is being given an entire bay featuring the new product range, while across 670 stores there will be branded shelf trays featuring deodorant, haircare, and body wash.

In total, 739 stores will carry the full range of Wild products. The bays will grace Tesco shelves for a duration of 52 weeks, with the possibility of extension, providing customers with sustainable options for an entire year.

“Tesco’s commitment to sustainability aligns perfectly with our mission to reduce plastic waste, promote natural ingredients, and provide products that are trusted by hundreds of thousands of customers,” said Charlie Bowes Lyon, co-founder of Wild.

Wild recently joined the SubX Subscription Economy Podcast, explaining their plans to transform bathroom products completely. Harry Symes-Thompson, director of marketing at Wild, sat down with the team to discuss how refillable options enable both customers and retailers alike to ditch the plastic.

Listen to the full episode to discover:

  • The high repeat purchase rates of refillable products – and subscriptions as a whole
  • Why a great product can limit the “churn” of these offerings
  • What part physical stores to have play in this refillable revolution.

The SubX Subscription Podcast series also looks at the rental market, product subscriptions and kicked off with a special LIVE at SubX World episode, all of which can be listened to now here!
