Game Group has taken on a new search agency as it looks to treble its online revenues in the next three years. The PC and videogame retailer is aiming to grow its online incomes in line with its high street presence and has appointed Greenlight to manage its search engine optimisation (SEO) and paid media work.
Steve Arbon, Game Group’s ecommerce acquisition manager, said: “We have ambitious plans to treble online revenues in the next three years.” He added: “With gaming becoming more multi-platform in format, and more games being sold via digital downloads and apps, a key part of Greenlight’s remit will be to keep Game Group ahead of its competitors in this ever evolving marketplace.”
Greenlight will work alongside Game’s in-house marketing team to advise it on search marketing both on-site and remotely.
Warren Cowan, chief executive of Greenlight, said: “With the broadening of both gaming platforms from the traditional PC and console to mobile and tablet, and the purchasing models for games evolving into digital downloads, Game Group is a fantastic client for us to be working with.”
