Here at Internet Retailing, we’re getting excited about the Internet Retailing Awards 2013. We’re looking forward to finding out who the judges – and our readers – have placed in top position in the awards. And we’re also looking forward to catching up with colleagues from the industry in a great City vantage point, 663ft up in London’s Heron Tower. Read all about it in the newsletter story below.

Today we also report on how digital retailing has paid off for Carpetright , on Notonthehighstreet.com’s success with personalisation, and on how the retail industry is being urged to act now to address future problems related to digital commerce and the likely shortage of resources. And we have the latest in our daily series of interviews with sponsors of the Internet Retailing Awards, each giving different and fascinating insights in the world of online and multichannel retailing.

Our final call for the Internet Retailing Awards (more info here). The shortlist of award winners can be seen here and in our story below. Do take a look, and information on tickets is here.

We’re also excited to announce the first details of the 8th Internet Retailing Conference. The event will be held on October 16 in London. Keynote speakers will include Sir Stuart Rose, chairman of Ocado and Dressipi, and Laura Wade-Geary, executive director, multichannel ecommerce, Marks & Spencer.
