Google has introduced a new premium artificial intelligence subscription service for users seeking advanced access to its latest AI technology.
Announced at the annual Google IO developer conference on Tuesday, “Google AI Ultra” is a monthly plan that offers the highest usage limits, access to AI models and early access to experimental products. It also includes a YouTube Premium subscription.

According to Josh Woodward, head of product incubator Google Labs and the Gemini app, the “Ultra plan” is designed for “trailblazers” and offers a “massive” 30 terabytes of storage.
“You can think of this Ultra plan as your VIP pass for Google AI,” Woodward said at the event.
This new tier positions itself above the existing “Google One AI Premium,” which ranges from $19.99 to $149.99 per month based on storage and offers premium versions of cloud services and AI products.
Google aims to monetise its AI products and broaden its revenue streams with Google AI Ultra, targeting premium users willing to pay more for access to its advanced AI capabilities. This includes experimental projects such as Project Mariner, an agent research prototype that can help a user do up to 10 tasks simultaneously.
Google AI Ultra will also give users access to the latest Gemini models and early access to its Veo 3, the company’s newly announced video generation tool.
The Ultra plan launched in the US on Tuesday 20 May, before being rolled out to other countries in the coming months.
