How retail growth will change the high street in years to come

This is an archived article - we have removed images and other assets but have left the text unchanged for your reference

In today’s InternetRetailing newsletter we have a tale of growth to tell. That’s growth not only now, both in today’s UK retail figures, online and off, and in Amazon’s report of 32% growth in its profits in its latest quarter, and in SecretSales’ investment win, but also projected as far forward as 2020. For then, according to an O2 report, shopping will both have grown and will be different as the high street plays a different role in the way we shop.

It’s to just such stories of growth that we look each year for the winners of the Internet Retailing Awards 2014. Right now we’re asking for your nominations for those awards – and yes, you can put yourself forward. Find out more about the awards and how to nominate here.

Today’s guest comment comes from Maria José Gonçalves of WeDo Technologies, who considers how retailers can prevent losses through their omnichannel operations.
