InPost, the out-of-home delivery and parcel locker leader, is partnering with fashion retailerUrban Outfitters to offer InPost Lockers and Shops as a delivery option at checkout, giving UK shoppers the choice to collect their online orders from InPost’s network for the first time.
The partnership gives Urban Outfitters customers access to InPost’s nationwide network of over 15,000 lockers, available 24/7, reflecting a wider move across UK retail towards more flexible, out-of-home delivery.
InPost currently has more than 15,000 lockers in the UK, placed in publicly accessible locations such as shopping centres, supermarkets and petrol station forecourts. Data shows that lockers are a popular choice for Gen Z consumers – with 90% of Gen Z and Millennial shoppers saying that a range of delivery options is important to them – making them a natural fit with Gen Z-focused brand Urban Outfitters.
More control for customers
Jon Nicholson, chief commercial officer at InPost UK, commented:”Partnering with Urban Outfitters gives their customers real control over how and when they collect their orders. We know that 4 in 10 parcel recipients miss at least one delivery a month, and among those, around 1 in 3 fail on the first attempt. An InPost Locker or Shop removes that uncertainty entirely, letting shoppers collect at a time and place that suits them.
He added: “Urban Outfitters understands what its customers want and this partnership gives their shoppers a faster, more flexible way to receive orders without changing how they shop. We’re looking forward to bringing that same convenience to more of their customers across the UK.”
