In addition to the multi-stream conference, Internet Retailing 2009 will also host a plethora of free workshop sessions, designed to involve and engage and get you up to speed on specific areas of online commerce.
In the ‘How to create a buzz online for your brand AND boost your bottom line‘ session from 10am until 11:30, E-inbusiness’ Steven Hampson will discuss how to harness the latest technology to enhance your brand, create a richer more engaging user experience and increase your online sales. This interactive workshop will guide you through a number of new and exciting — but proven — techniques that have all been shown to improve sales and reduce returns.
Then, from 2pm until 3:30, a trio of online payments experts will be ready to guide you through ‘The payments opportunity in international e-retail: How a localized payments program can help merchants increase bottom line results‘. This workshop, led by NetGiro’s Alison Greensmith, Paypal’s John Varco and Chris Harris from Barclaycard, will answer questions including why you need a localised payments program, why offering credit cards is not enough, what kind of sales uplift you can expect when adding local payment methods and how localisation will affect the total cost of accepting payments.
You can find full details of these and the seven other workshops on the Internet Retailing 2009 website. The workshops are all free to attend, but spaces are limited and must be booked in advance, so now is a good moment to get the team together and book up some seats!
