More than 5,000 people are expected at this week’s Internet Retailing Expo (IRX 2012).

Retailers, vendors, consultants and other professionals working in the online and multichannel retail industries, are among those who have registered to attend the event. The second annual Internet Retailing Expo will feature more than 150 exhibitors as well as four conferences, eight workshops and, for the first time, the Innovation Pavilion where a range of suppliers will unveil their innovations.

“We’ve gathered the best of the vendor and retailer community for an intense out of the office day of learning and inspiration,” said Internet Retailing editor-in-chief Ian Jindal.

Tomorrow, the first day of the Expo, features the Fast Track and Enterprise conferences, as well as workshops run by Shutl, 10CMS, Oracle and SLI Systems. Speakers in the Fast Track Conference include Mark Brant, PayPal’s UK and Ireland sales director, serial entrepreneur John Sollars of StinkyInk.com, Mark Stokes of Barnsley Football Club on monetizing the fanbase, and Chris Poad, director, merchant services, at Amazon. Presenters in the Innovation Pavilion on Wednesday include speakers from Amazon Payments, Peer1, Emailcenter, Queue-It, Fits.me, Mainline Flatpack, Nightline and CNET Content Solutions.

On Thursday, the Mobile and Social Conference runs alongside the Customer Experience Conference.
