IRX 2016 PREVIEW New and exciting retail technologies on show

Ahead of this year’s InternetRetailing Expo (IRX 2016) we’re running a series of previews focusing on highlights of the two-day event, from the conferences to interviews with key retail speakers, and beyond. Today our focus is on exhibitors and the preparations they are making to show off the latest technology.

New and exciting products that are set to revolutionise the way multichannel retail works will be showcased at IRX 2016.

Among the exhibitors is SAP, which will be showcasing its SAP Anywhere software at the show. The new one-stop solution is designed to enable small and medium-size retailers to manage and grow their ecommerce or multichannel business, from building a website to creating marketing campaigns, selling products, managing inventory and analysing performance. Partners Google, PayPal and UPS directly integrate their platforms into SAP’s solution.

Segura will be exhibiting its innovative supply chain visibility software, designed to help businesses map, monitor and control their supply chain while mitigating risk and ensuring compliance to ethical and operational requirements (stand J55).

Peter Needle, CEO and co-founder of Segura, said: “IRX offers us a great opportunity to meet with relevant industry professionals and introduce them to our system. Over 6,000 people visited the expo last year, with more than half of these having entire purchasing responsibility over their multichannel projects. We’re confident that we can support many of these visitors in reasserting control over their supply chains and looking forward to demonstrating that at the show.”

Shopware will be presenting its latest software, Shopware 5.1, with a new marketing functionality that allows shop owners to implement and combine diverse promotion campaigns in their shops (stand F33).

Orderwise’s stand G45, located in hall 9, features a transportable fully-integrated warehouse with cutting edge GS1 barcode-scanning technology to help drive the accuracy and efficiency of daily warehouse operations.

IRX will guide retailers towards finding the perfect balance for their multichannel strategy, while visitors to EDX will learn about multichannel operations.

The Expos have spaces dedicated to the global commerce, retailing and the payments industries, such as the Innovation Pavilion, the Digital Payments Theatre and the Marketplaces Theatre. Visitors will be able to discover the latest technologies driving the ‘bricks meets clicks’ revolution and integrating digital innovation in-store, from a host of exhibitors across the show floor.
