Ahead of this year’s Internet Retailing Expo (IRX 2016) we’re running a regular series of features previewing the speakers and other highlights of the event.
IRX 2016, and its sister exhibition eDelivery Expo, are key dates in ecommerce and multichannel retailers’ diaries not only for the eight-stream conference zone, but also as a chance to see the latest technologies in action.
At this year’s IRX and EDX more than 300 exhibitors and sponsors will be showcasing their wares. Focal points of the show, owned by Clarion Events, include zones focusing on the digital store and innovation, alongside theatres devoted to digital payments and to marketplaces.
Suppliers from Akamai to zendesk will be showing at the event, while workshops offering practical, hands-on advice will come from leading industry suppliers.
IRX, now in its sixth year and co-located for the second year with eDelivery Expo, is expected to attract more than 6,000 visitors.
This year’s show takes the theme of balance, reflecting the need for retailers to balance and discover the different elements and channels of their retail business, rather than focusing on one to the detriment of the others.
More than 80 multichannel and ecommerce retailers, members of the IRUK Top500, will be sharing experiences and learnings in an event that includes eight free-to-attend conferences. These are under the themes of the Connected Store of the Future, Mobile in Multichannel, International & Cross Border, Digital Sales & Marketing, Insight & Experience, Digital Merchandising, Multichannel Fulfilment and Operations in Multichannel.
eDelivery Expo (EDX), Europe’s only trade show for operations and fulfilment in multichannel, has meanwhile two dedicated conferences – Multichannel Fulfilment and Operations in Multichannel. Speakers from John Lewis, Ocado, Supergroup and Sainsbury’s will look in depth at the delivery and distribution side of internet retailing and at how to fulfil the multichannel promise. Service and solution providers will also join the party to showcase the latest technology in packaging, parcels, stock management, warehousing, logistics end-to-end and many more areas to help retailers improve their operations performance.
