JD Sports has launched a loyalty app ahead of the busy festive period, which gives shoppers cashback on their fashion and trainer purchases.
The RetailX UK Top500 Elite retailer trialled the JD STATUS app in 10 stores across the north west for eight weeks, following positive responses from customers it will be rolled out across the UK. The app is available to use across 370 UK stores, with plans to expand into Europe.
Arianne Parisi, global chief digital officer of JD Sports, explained: “The successful trial of JD STATUS in Manchester earlier this year received a very positive reaction from our customers and store associates – reflecting the hard work of our teams to design a programme which is straightforward and easy to use.
“We are excited to launch JD STATUS in Great Britain to ensure our customers across the country can enjoy the best that JD has to offer. We want to ensure that our customers are rewarded with the very best incentives and benefits.”
Customers who sign-up for the app will receive 10% cashback on their first purchase and 1% on subsequent purchases. Further benefits will be added as the app is developed, with the “King of Trainers” looking to strengthen its relationship with customers.
