Online shoppers in search of a last-minute personalised card can now order online for next-day delivery even after the last post has gone.

Moonpig , an IRUK250 company, has extended its cut-off time by three hours for card orders to 7pm Monday to Friday. Previously last orders were at 4pm but the new deadline means shoppers can make their purchase and send it by first-class post, when most post boxes have been emptied, for an extra charge.

“Customers are at the heart of everything we do at Moonpig, and by adapting our services to fit in with their busy lifestyles we can make things a little bit easier for them,” said James Sturrock, Moonpig’s managing director.

“Extending our order cut-off time helps us to enhance the customer experience and ensure last-minute buyers have a little more time to pick the right card for that special someone.

“A quick and reliable card delivery service supports the great experience the Moonpig team prides itself on. It is only natural for people to forget, and now if a loved one’s birthday is accidently overlooked, our customers can simply order later in the day without panicking. The Moonpig Reminder Service that a lot of our customers already use, can also help the more forgetful amongst us. We hope our new services will mean our customers never forget a birthday again.”

Moonpig was the first online greeting card business when it launched in 2000. Now part of the Photobox group, it has more than 10m customers in the UK, Australia and USA and has sent more than 40m cards around the world.
