M&S extends price lock for 100 food items until summer

M&S price lock

Marks and Spencer Food (M&S) has extended its price lock on over 100 customer favourites until the summer.

The move is part of the grocers commitment to provide great value food at everyday prices, that “never compromises on quality”, amid the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

The refreshed price of products including fresh produce and cupboard staples, will replace M&S’ Easter offers, which came to an end over the weekend.

M&S has been ranked as a Leading retailer in RXUK’s 2023 Top500 report.

“Listening to customers right now, value remains firmly top of the list. That’s why our priority is delivering our trusted value promise – offering the best possible quality at the best possible price,” M&S Food managing director Alex Freudmann said.

“By extending our price lock until Summer, we’re giving customers certainty on the products they love to shop.”

M&S stated all its Remarkable items are also price benchmarked against key competitors to guarantee the best value for customers. This comes as six in 10 families said value is the single most important factor when deciding where to shop.

He added: “At the heart of our trusted value promise remains our Remarksable value range. Customers shopping our Remarksable products can be confident each is price benchmarked against key competitors but still sourced to the highest standards. We’ll never compromise on that.
