A new course to bring ecommerce newcomers up to speed quickly is being launched.

Econsultancy is running the two-day Fast Track E-commerce and Online Retailing Course, delivered by Internet Retailing editor-in-chief Ian Jindal. It is for anyone new to e-commerce or digital marketing and who wants an overview of online merchandising and selling, data management, usability and testing.

“E-commerce is differentiated from digital marketing by the simple fact of ‘selling things,’” said Jindal. “This fast track is aimed at those who wish to focus on creating the optimal circumstances to sell online or in a multichannel context and then closing that sale.”

Vivien Underwood, head of professional development at Econsultancy, said: “With around 85% of worldwide internet users buying goods and services online there is significant opportunity for online retailers to capitalise on if they can get the online experience right. We have devised this course to provide online retailers with the practical knowledge to apply e-commerce best practice to their business.”

The first Fast Track E-commerce and Online Retailing is on 14 June and has limited places available. More information can be found about the course here or by emailing training@econsultancy.com.
