Not just retailers: how brands and social media businesses are developing their ecommerce strategies

This is an archived article - we have removed images and other assets but have left the text unchanged for your reference

In today’s Internet Retailing newsletter, it’s not only retailers that are developing ecommerce strategies. For while we report on how traders from Matalan to AO.com are taking forward their plans for selling online and across channels, we also have news of Unilever as it teams up with Alibaba to sell more online in China, and of how social media companies from Facebook to YouTube are working out how they can make the most of online selling as well.

We have a great interview for you today. Tying in with our recent IRUK 500 research on mobile and cross-channel, senior researcher Martin Shaw interviews Sarah Baillie of House of Fraser on the department store’s mobile strategy. Today we also have our regular preview of IRC 2015, this week focusing on Stream 3: The Order.

Our guest comment comes from Amol Sarwate of Qualys, who considers how retailers can best guard against security breaches.
