PrettyLittleThing creative director Molly-Mae Hague quits £5m role

Influencer and Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague has stepped down from the position of creative director of fast fashion brand PrettyLittleThing (PLT).

Hauge explained in a YouTube video that she was stepping down from the position, where she was reportedly being paid £400,000 a month, equivalent to £5 million a year, to look after her daughter Bambi, who was born in January.

PrettyLittleThing is ranked as one of the largest 50 fashion brands globally in the 2023 European Fashion Sector report, click here to download.

“Over the last few weeks, I have realised that I’m only going to get this time once with my first-born child and I’m only going to get Bambi being four months old once and I feel like I’ve had to rearrange my life a little bit and lose some commitments that I did have,” Hauge said.

“I and PLT have decided collectively that as much as the creative director role was incredible and I have loved being the creative director of PLT more than anything it was such an amazing chapter for me it has naturally come to an end.”

The departure follows PLT’s CEO Umar Kamani also stepping down from the company in April after 12 years.
