Wayfair has scaled up its server capacity for peak trading periods by moving its ecommerce site onto Google’s cloud.
The US online furniture company has created a hybrid architecture in Google Cloud including compute, storage, networking, data and analytics and productivity tools.
The solution allows it to boost website capacity up to 100Gbps during the likes of Black Friday and the company’s own discount period “Way Day”. Google will also provide a professional support to manage performance and ensure a strong customer experience.
Wayfair will also be able to analyse data across its ecommerce site in real time.
