Sainsbury’s expands online fashion marketplace offering

Sainsbury’s has added a raft of brands to its growing online fashion marketplace including contemporary fashion label Finery London.

The Big 4 grocer has added around 20 fashion brands to its Tu website, in a bid to boost its third-party offering.

Some of these brands include Little Mistress, Sosandar, Triumph and Love Luna.

Last month, it was revealed Sainsbury’s was planning to launch its own marketplace for high street fashion.

The move is headed up by former John Lewis managing director Paula Nickolds, who leads Sainsbury’s non-food business, alongside Christine Kasoulis, the supermarket giant’s director of clothing, home and furniture.

The move follows rival M&S adding Crocs, Sketchers and Toms to its online roster of third-party brands, in a bid to grow market share.

The three footwear brands will join the 60 other third-party brand partners on the retailer’s website.
