Shoppers at Tiffany & Co’s London boutique can now buy luxury goods via an in-store vending machine.

The jeweller and American design house has added a fragrance kiosk where customers can buy the new Tiffany perfume without needing to queue. Shoppers pay for their purchase via a chip and pin transaction on the new Android-based Valina terminal from payments business Worldline. K6 Design Group, Jofemar and SV365 Technologies also worked on the project.

Tiffany’s & Co’s new flagship store opened in late July to offer an innovative retail experience compete with unique design features that encourage creative interaction in-store. The boutique also features a #MakeItTiffany personalisation bar.

Vincent Roland, managing director of Worldline’s Merchant Services, says: “We’re excited to partner with such an established luxury brand that goes the extra mile for its customers’ experience. Our Valina at Tiffany & Co London is the first ever self-service full touch Android payment terminal in the UK.

“In the future, we aim to extend this concept into other high-value retail environments with Worldline being the leader for self-service payment terminals.”
