Tesco’s Clubcard app is being shut down today (18 April), with customers being encouraged to download a new revamped replacement app to avoid missing out on points.
The supermarket giant announced it will be closing the digital version of its physical loyalty app last month, after it closed the Pay+ free payment app on 27 February.
Instead, the new Tesco Grocery and Clubcard app will combine all the features of the retired version, which includes customers now being able to pay, look at their points, spend Clubcard vouchers and check stock.

Grocery delivery is now also available on the app, in one convenient place.
A Tesco spokesperson said: “Bringing the functionality of Tesco Pay+ into the Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app is a demonstration of our focus on providing products which closely align to the needs of Tesco shoppers.”
Recently, the Big 4 grocer announced from 14 June, it will reduce the value of Clubcard vouchers, which customers can use with rewards partners such as Zizzi and Pizza Express.
Currently, customers can exchange vouchers to triple their value, however, from mid-June, customers can only double the value when they redeem at any of Tesco’s 100 rewards partners.
