Tesco has become launch customer for TradeDoubler’s new affiliate revenue-sharing tool.

A bespoke solution has been developed for Tesco around TradeDoubler’s Affiliate Revenue Share Community (ARC). Simon Burgess, UK managing director of TradeDoubler, compares ARC to Apple’s App Store, as a way of allowing clients to tap into tools and widgets built by developers and publishers that can help their affiliates to increase sales.

He said: “The developer of the app earns a revenue share of each commission the affiliate generates and is a win-win for all concerned. This is a new concept and industry first which we believe will change the affiliate landscape.”

Tim Jessop, online marketing manager at Tesco, said: “Following a strategic review of our online marketing we started the year with the intention of improving our creative, to better align our marketing content with our product range in a cost-effective way.

“ARC enables us to address our goals by improving the customer journey from affiliate sites and helping smaller affiliates to offer more up to date content across more products and enabling this long-tail of affiliates to drive sales and traffic through the affiliate channel more effectively.”
