Travis Perkins said in its end-of-year statement, “Although early in the transformation programme for Wickes, customer feedback to the changes implemented so far has been positive. Improvements to value, branded ranges, promotions, customer service and the introduction of a new website and click and collect capability demonstrate the extent of the work underway.”

It said more online improvements and investments were planned for 2015, while the store opening programme would also accelerate.

Travis Perkins said multichannel was also a priority for the B2B side of the business at Travis Perkins and subsidiaries including Toolstation.
