BeeBeep.Tv, a website dedicated to the buying and selling of vehicles and vehicle parts, is now allowing people who want to list their car – or parts – on the channel the ability to set up and pay for an advert on a recurring basis via mobile.

The service uses ImpulsePay’s mobile purchasing solution, so mobile users can create an advert, with payment being taken from their mobile phone bill or available credit using the Payforit WAP billing tool and avoiding them having to input long credit card numbers or registering for PayPal. Instead, from 1 November, they can click on the ‘Pay by Mobile’ button to have the £5 charge for five weeks advertising (£1 per week) taken from their mobile phone bill.

“We want to give our users the best possible service and value for money. Yet many of them don’t have or don’t want to use credit cards for this kind of transaction,” says Gary Connolly, Co-Founder at BeeBeep.Tv. “By using ImpulsePay we are offering our users an easy-to-use, fast and secure mobile solution. They don’t have to reveal personal card details and the ad is live once the simple three-step process has been completed. We think that mobile is a perfect payment solution and we will be extending our use of it with new services and offers for our mobile payment customers.”

ImpulsePay provides a mobile purchasing solution to all online content owners or service providers. By using Payforit, the service backed by all the UK’s mobile operators, ImpulsePay provides an alternative option to Premium SMS or credit card payments. Consumers use the service online with a simple 3-step process. This involves entering their mobile number online, receiving an SMS containing a PIN code and then entering that code online.

With a similar revenue split to the 70:30 model offered by Apple’s iPhone App Store and an instant communication tool (SMS) online retailers can increase the lifetime value (LTV) of their customers by using mobile purchasing.

“Using mobile purchasing means that we can offer our customers an alternative payment method. While it was ImpulsePay’s range of tariffs and the simplicity of integrating the code into our site that made us choose to work with them. They also have great payout rates,” says Connolly.

“BeeBeep.Tv is another online retailer that has seen the value that mobile purchasing can add to its business,” adds Paul Paterson, Operations Director of ImpulsePay. “By adding more payment choices, and using a method that anyone with a mobile phone can access, BeeBeep.Tv is increasing its customer base, increasing its revenues and increasing overall customer satisfaction.”

The announcement with BeeBeep.Tv follows a recent announcement that Spareroom.co.uk is using ImpulsePay’s mobile purchasing service to allow mobile users to pay for access to ‘Early Bird’ ads on Spareroom.co.uk and get a head start on finding their next room.
