Welcome to Retail Media News, your fortnightly news and analysis briefing in the world of retail media. Who are we?

So, who are we? Internet Retailing is the leading authority on ecommerce and retail and we are delighted to be joined by Colin Lewis as Editor-in-Chief to help us navigate our way through the Retail Media world. There is lots happening across the world, and it can be hard to know the stories that matter for brands and retailers; Colin will help us understand what matters in Retail Media.

Colin is a career marketer who has worked as CMO all over the world and managed marketing budgets in the tens of millions for some of the UKs biggest brands.  He is an expert on Digital Commerce and Retail Media working with both supplier brands like ) Barilla, Ferrero International, Sofidel / Kittensoft (Italy) Fonterra (NZ), L’Oreal and Glanbia as well as working with Retailers like Very Group (UK), Superdrug (UK), Migros (Turkey), The Warehouse Group (NZ) and Metcash Group (Australia) on their Retail Media Network strategies 

Colin has written eight Retail Media and Digital Commerce best practice reports, including Amazon Advertising, Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Instacart, Kroger Precision Marketing Platform Guides and Best Practice in eCommerce and Third-Party Marketplaces Best Practice (guide to Amazon, Alibaba, eBay). He has also created the 12-week Fundamentals of eCommerce on the Future Learn Platform and the Advanced Course in Retail Media for Advertising Week.

Finally, Colin is a regular keynote speaker on the topics of marketing, digital commerce and retail media. He will be keynoting at MediaX , a brand new event that explores the experiences of well-established retailers in this space to new entrants and the agencies who are helping make things tick. Paul Skeldon has been an editor and analyst at RetailX and Internet Retailing for 14 years, specialising in marketplaces, marcomms and web3.0 and will also be appearing at MediaX in June, as well as every fortnight in this newsletter.

What do we want?

We are here to report and analyse the burgeoning retail media space, primarily with a retailer and brand focus, outlining the developments in the market, the trends that are surfacing and what the key players are up to across the value chain. 

We will report on retailers moves into retail media, how brands are leveraging that and how agencies are adapting to make that happen.

We will also look at where all this came from, analyse what the latest developments across he sector mean for retailer and brands and keep tabs on all the latest coming and goings in the industry.
