Wonderbra has launched into online commerce with a website that allows it to sell directly to customers in the UK and Ireland for the first time.

The new website, www.wonderbra.eu replaces the well-known lingerie brand’s previous non-transactional site, www.wonderbra.co.uk, and targets Ireland as well as the UK. The move comes in response to demand from customers, who have been identified as ‘heavy online users’.

The site, built by Venda, includes an interactive search to find the perfect bra, social network integration to get friends’ opinions, ratings and reviews as well as a stockist finder, for those who want expert advice on their purchase.

“The store is a great showcase for the brand and helps to drive our digital strategy forward to new heights,” said Paul Devin, UK general manager of DB Apparel, parent company of Wonderbra.

Eric Abensur, chief executive of Venda, said: “It’s fantastic to welcome Wonderbra onto our platform and to work with the brand as it develops its online presence. The new site incorporates a number of exciting features that will help Wonderbra increase its direct and indirect sales, such as a multi-currency capability to help grow sales in Euros.”
