With Cyber Monday just around the corner, Christmas campaigns are now building nicely. At stake is a share of this year’s seasonal online spending, predicted by IMRG to be around £4.6bn in the fortnight from December 3. We round up some of the action so far in today’s Internet Retailing newsletter, as well as sharing some predictions for peak spending days during the year.
Today the news that Bonmarché is now a multichannel retailer, in the hands of its new owners, is a reminder of why online and multichannel trading are so important. Other reminders come in our story on Mobile Fun’s proposed sale as it prepares for international expansion, and the IMRG/Capgemini verdict that online sales rose by 14% in October. We also report on Majestic Wine and Ocado. Find out more on all this by reading the newsletter stories below.
Internet Retailing Expo 2013 – call for papers
We’re now looking ahead to Internet Retailing Expo 2013, scheduled for March 20 and 21 at the NEC in Birmingham. Some 5,000 people visited last time, and there was standing room only in many of our conference streams. If you’d like to present at IRX 2013, then click here to find out more about our call for papers. Note that’s there’s no charge to present, and decisions are taken entirely on editorial merit.
If you missed our recent series of webinars, you can catch up on them via our webinar page. And if you missed Internet Retaiing 2012, our annual conference, you can now catch up with all the presentations here.
