Asda has expanded its partnership with Deliveroo, adding a further 300 stores to the offering, and giving many more customers same-day delivery on more than 10,000 Asda products. This latest rollout brings the total number of Asda locations offering Deliveroo’s rapid delivery service to over 850 stores.
Barney Burgess, vice president for online grocery at Asda, said: “We’re focused on making shopping as convenient as possible, and by bringing Deliveroo to even more stores, customers can enjoy great Asda products and value delivered to their doorstep.”
The Deliveroo expansion is the latest move in Asda’s push to position itself as a leading choice for grocery convenience and value. The supermarket has lost market share to budget supermarkets Lidl and Aldi, dropping to roughly 11.5% in the 12 months to mid-May 2026, with Aldi breathing down its neck at 10.8%.
It recently announced a deal with Ocado which will see Ocado using its technology and logistics capability to overhaul Asda’s online business across the UK by rebuilding the supermarket’s digital shop window, in-store picking and last-mile delivery network. This follows the announcement of a partnership with Deliverect to simplify its quick-commerce operations, availability and pricing synchronisation, and in-store fulfilment. Together, these announcements show that Asda is investing strongly in its turnaround plan, which focuses on price leadership, convenience expansion, and digital improvements.
With more than 850 stores now live on Deliveroo and fresh investment in digital, logistics and partnerships, Asda is doubling down on speed, value and convenience—key battlegrounds as it fights to regain ground in an increasingly competitive UK grocery market.
