Venda and 10CMS have developed a ‘Get the Look’ flash module for fashion retailer A|wear‘s ecommerce site that enables it to present consumers with a single page featuring a variety of products that create a particular fashion ‘look’. The system is now live on A|Wear’s website and is being used to promote a range of items under a ‘How to do Autumn’ banner.
“The ‘Get the look’ module was designed to take all the pain out of merchandising for retailers,” says Fergal O’Mullane, CEO at 10CMS. “Fashion moves at such a pace and we’re looking forward to seeing A|wear drive up conversion and retention rates further thanks to this latest in rich content. Simply put it takes the hassle out of the buying experience for the consumer and the hassle out of creating something unique for the ecommerce team.”
“It’s incredibly exciting that we’ve been able to deliver this new module as a part of our site,” added Sam Bain, head of ecommerce at A|wear. “For years magazines have been able to advise women on how to copy a certain look but now our consumers can view a whole look ranging from a dress to jacket and matching bag — and then buy it with one simple click of the mouse. This latest module in the Venda Flash Merchandising solution is incredibly simple to use and dramatically improves our ability to merchandise hot looks quickly and with real impact. We can even embed video into the module to really bring the looks to life.”
“This latest addition to the modules creates much more depth to the buying experience while ensuring that merchandising remains in the hands of the ecommerce team and not IT,” explained Andy Houstoun, global head of marketing at Venda. “New merchandise can be quickly added to the site, enabling A|wear to get it out to their consumers as quickly as possible while introducing them to complementary products that they may not have previously found so easily on the site.”
