Desi Reuben-Sealey, Senior Manager UX of Victorinox, takes notes during the DigitalX stream

RetailX Event’s latest podcast series, exploring the subscription economy, has launched with an episode dedicated to the importance of the user experience, and why now is a “critical moment” for retailers.

Recorded live during the Spring Festival 2024, the first episode sees Desi Reuben-Sealey, senior manager UX, Victorinox – the brand behind the iconic Swiss Army Knife – join the team in the booth. He explains how this legacy brand is managing its digital expansion, how Victorinox goes above and beyond for customer service and their approach to loyalty.

“One of the most important things was really focusing on what that consumer was telling us…all the feedback. We inquire, we speak to our consumers, we speak to our community, so we’re able to get that understanding,” says Reuben-Sealey.

Produced in association with Chargebee, the limited series will discuss how retailers are turning to the subscription business model; the importance of the right technology; how AI will impact creativity; and building a community through customer experience and collaboration.

Episodes will be released each Tuesday, with future discussions on why events and different seasons are a key consideration when scaling a business; where should retailers and subscription companies be using caution around technological advancements; and how partnerships can be beneficial in reaching new customer bases, as well as helping with growing marketing costs.

The series was recorded live at SubscriptionX in May 2024, it will return as part of the Autumn Festival 2024.

SubscriptionX II will bring together 40 like-minded subscription leaders, from across sectors, representing a wide range of job functions, who want to be kept abreast of trends and analysis in the industry.
