The countdown to international growth begins for Christopher Ward as it updates ecommerce platform

Christopher Ward: time for global expansion

Christopher Ward: time for global expansion

Christopher Ward, a Berkshire-based premium watch brand, is looking to drive growth in the UK and globally in 2020 with a website revamp.

Adapting to evolving customer shopping habits, Christopher Ward is moving away from its current platform to  Salesforce Commerce Cloud. The move to Commerce Cloud – done by Tryzens – will upgrade the platform’s capabilities and agility by generating real-time predictions for every shopper, as well as recommending the best products for customers and flexibility to grow unimpeded by traditional technology constraints.

Mike France, CEO and Co-founder at Christopher Ward explains: “Providing a unique, first class experience for our customers has always been a priority for us. Our direct, online-only business model makes premium quality watches more affordable, cutting out the retail middleman and challenging industry conventions. This has allowed us to develop a following of loyal customers, and we want to return the favour by offering them the best experience. To give our customers the best possible service we need to implement the newest and latest features to help raise our brand image and we have recently raised extra funding to help us do this. As a result, we’re focusing on upgrading our website to help deliver an enhanced eCommerce platform fit for our customer base.”

Peter Ellis, Co-founder at Christopher Ward adds: “We haven’t taken this process lightly. We want to make sure that our investment into this platform will provide our loyal customers with an experience that rivals that of any in-store offering and convey the rich brand story and product offering that we have [HM1] . When choosing who would take on the responsibility of updating our platform, we felt Tryzens would be best suited. They have a huge amount of experience in the sector and this resulted in them understanding what we needed.”

Andy Burton, CEO, Tryzens, says: “We are very happy to be working with Christopher Ward during this exciting time. They are growing at a rapid rate and need an eCommerce platform that helps them secure new customers, not hinder their relationship with customers. We will be leveraging the expertise of all those involved to create a market-leading experience. With the website due to go live in the first half of 2020, we have the time and resources to develop a leading platform which will allow Christopher Ward to stay competitive in this tough and ever-changing sector.”
