N Brown employs AI to make for a better experience for customers and staff

Digital retailer N Brown Group is set to use AI to automate processes across its back end as it strives to offer the best possible – and personalised – user experience across its websites and apps.

The retail group is working with Bloomreach, a Digital Experience Platform company, to provide an optimised, consistent and seamless customer experience across its core brands JD Williams, Simply Be, Ambrose Wilson and Jacamo.

Using its strong experience in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), Bloomreach will help N Brown streamline its back-end processes and deliver more personalised digital experiences to its customers across its brands’ websites and mobile apps.

As part of the partnership, Bloomreach will ultimately replace two existing solutions and will deliver strong AI and machine capabilities to the back-end search and merchandising processes. The solution will allow N Brown to further improve its customer proposition, helping them to harness customer data more effectively, and deliver highly optimised and personalised digital customer journeys.

Adam Warne, Chief Information Officer at N Brown explains: “We are focused on further improving our customer proposition and delivering the best possible digital customer experience. With strong AI and machine learning capabilities, the Bloomreach platform will allow us to put the right products in front of our customers, and ultimately help us to make them look and feel amazing.”

Bloomreach founder and CEO Raj De Datta expressed his delight with the deal, saying: “With brands such as JD Williams, Simpy Be, Ambrose Wilson and Jacamo, N Brown is a key player in providing fashionable clothing to underserved customer groups. We are incredibly excited to help N Brown deliver a better digital experience to its customers on a personal level, bringing the right products to the forefront of a simple and elegant digital journey. By optimising search results, personalising content, and providing a seamless digital experience, N Brown will continue to enhance their customer proposition.”

Bloomreach technologies layer a personalised front-end experience over powerful back-end transactional functionalities to help drive sales, conversions, and retention. Bloomreach’s AI and machine learning solutions are already used by retailers for efficiency and to reduce the number of abandoned baskets online. The deployment of Bloomreach’s Search and Merchandising solution across N Brown’s brands will begin next year.
