Hundreds of retailers and specialists in ecommerce, multichannel retailing and digital, are expected at the 11th InternetRetailing Conference (IRC 2016) tomorrow as the annual conference opens its doors.

The event follows hard on the heels of sister event eDelivery Conference, which is already underway today at the Novotel in London’s Hammersmith and features speakers from leading retailers such as John Lewis and Amazon.

Retailers and other commerce experts will attend the event to catch up with the latest developments from across the industry. They’ll hear from expert speakers, including senior retailers sharing the approaches that they’ve taken and what they’ve learned as a result.

The theme of this 11th annual conference is new horizons, as the event moves into its second decade. Keynote speakers James McClure of Airbnb, Tony Rivenell of Halfords, and Andrew McLean of Urban Outfitters will explore new horizons within marketplaces, mobile and international respectively. The session is chaired by Ian Jindal.

The keynote session heads up a diverse agenda across three streams, Engage, Grow, and Transform, with speakers from retailers and service providers as diverse as Home Retail Group, River Island, Urban Outfitters, Lego, Woolovers and Vente Privée.

“For more than a decade this has been a must-attend event for retailers keen to ensure they are at the forefront of digital retailing,” said Ian Jindal, editor-in-chief of InternetRetailing. “This year’s focus on new horizons is an essential one as we look at how today’s traders can transform and grow their businesses to engage and satisfy the demands of the connected and savvy customer.”

As well as visiting the busy conference streams, visitors can explore an exhibition showcasing the latest technology from a variety of leading suppliers to the industry, take part in retailer-led round table events and in best-practice focused workshops.

The exhibition and supplier workshops can be accessed via a free pass available at the door, though do book workshops in advance to be sure of a place. The conference and round table events are only open to holders of full conference passes.
