Mobile Fun says it is on course to hit sales of £12m in its current financial year following a record-breaking Christmas season.
The mobile accessories pureplay today reported sales worth £3.5m in the three months to the end of December, 23% up on the same time last year. In December alone, sales hit £1.3m, setting a new record for monthly sales.
Sales and orders on its domestic site, MobileFun.co.uk rose by 7% on the same time last year, while sales from its international sites grew by 80% to £1.3m.
The company aims to launch 20 international websites during its current financial year.
Mobile Fun managing director Mohammed Hussain (pictured) said the growth had come from new websites, extensive stock and fast delivery.
“We’re excited to enter 2013 with our most successful Christmas ever behind us,” he said, “and a strong team that is ready to build upon this success with the imminent launch of another 12 websites across Europe, South America and Asia.”
Mobile Fun recently announced that it is looking for a buyer to support further expansion plans.
