Online gift retailer Prezzybox opens first bricks and mortar store

Prezzybox hits the road

Prezzybox, is on a mission to create moments of happiness by delivering the extraordinary and has now taken the step to open a physical store to bring the joy of gifting into more people’s lives. Since first launching online back in 2000, the retailer has grown from strength to strength and sold gifts to more than 1.25 million customers worldwide.

Now the online retailer has recently broken tradition and brought its moments of happiness to the road by opening its first retail store as part of the Roadchef Strensham services (southbound) in Worcestershire.

The store officially opened to the public on Thursday 27th February stocking a hand-picked selection of some of the team’s favourite products for customers to enjoy. The VIP event started at noon and included a tour of the brand-new shop, goody bags filled with exclusive products and lots of sweet treats.

Zak Edwards, the Managing Director of Prezzybox, founded the company in a tiny office in Warwickshire after spotting an opportunity to sell gifts online and deliver happiness. He had lost enthusiasm for his job at the time and had seen the potential that an online business could have.

Bringing the Prezzybox gifts from the web into a physical store will mean the millions of visitors who pass through Roadchef’s doors every year will have the opportunity to pick up the perfect gift from the handpicked range of products available.

Zak Edwards, Managing Director of www.prezzybox.com commented on the store launch: “We’re excited to be embarking on the next step of the Prezzybox journey with the awesome team at Roadchef. The first Prezzybox store will offer customers an exciting and immersive shopping experience, with a range of our favourite gifts ready to delight visitors.”

Edwards continues: “We have bucked the trend in terms of starting off online and opening our first store many years later. The struggling high street is a topic that cannot be ignored, but we’re hoping that our chosen location within Roadchef’s Strensham services will ensure a continuous, heavy footfall of potential customers that can benefit from our product range.  We really hope this is the first of many and we hope to prove that bricks and mortar still has a place for e-commerce retailers across the country. We hope everyone loves our incredible range and we can wait start our new chapter, creating moments of happiness for both our customers and their loved ones.”

Mark Fox, CEO of Roadchef, adds: “We are thrilled that Prezzybox has chosen Roadchef as the partner to introduce their brand not only to the motorway network, but to host its first ever physical store.”
