Social engagement for retail and marketing gets a lick and polish with the unveiling of a refreshed app, giving brands and marketers the opportunity to capitalise on the engagement of more than 50,000 users, to create social currency.

WAMO is a publishing and digital advertising tool which acts as a location for consumers to share items they Love, Hate, Want and Need. By grabbing the image of an item and sharing it on their feed, users can create their own lookbook to share with friends. Daily challenges are an integral part of the user experience and the key component of the experience, to give users the chance to win the things they love from their favourite brands and all new brands.

Jeremy Stokes, co-founder of WAMO explains: “We’re launching a new look to the iOS app today, which we hope will strengthen the existing base of users and amplify the opportunity for brands, marketers, and retailers to better reach their consumers.

“Consumers enter daily challenges to compete for the chance to win something they love. The mechanism we use for the challenge drives high-quality traffic to complete a task on the brand website through a native browser. Through this level of engagement, WAMO can provide detailed, real-time measurement to brands, enabling them to show engagement immediately which, in turn, can lead to potential sales.”

WAMO provides an engaging environment in which new products can be stress tested or current lines and products promoted in order to drive sales. We are looking to provide marketers and brands with a much higher level of engagement at a much lower cost than other forms of digital advertising, such as PPC. WAMO boasts a strong profile of affiliate partners including Ultimate Ears, Panache Lingerie and Adidas.

Co-founder, Derek Lubner said “We wanted to create something wholly unique with an aesthetic appeal that would provide real value to brands, marketers and digital agencies for a low cost. Twenty five per cent of our users open the app twice a day and the average session length is over three minutes and WAMO is available to download via iOS app store or Android, enabling them to gain immediate benefit.”

“WAMO allows brands to advertise and promote their products with no waste and at a far lower CPE than Big Social. In the past, social media users have been rewarded on their followers, instead of actual engagement. WAMO helps brands to reward users that are proving they are fully interacting with them.”
