Carluccio’s has launched a new ecommerce website.

Shoppers at the restaurant chain can now use the fully responsive website to buy foods, gifts, kitchen accessories and other items online as well as finding and booking restaurants and checking menus.

The new website is part of a digital communications strategy intended to remind shoppers of Carluccio’s long-standing history on the UK high street. It was created by Delete on an all-in-one content management solution from Kentico . The digital agency will now work with Carluccio’s in areas from search to digital marketing as it looks to develop customer relationships and increase traffic to the site.

“Our goal, working with Carluccio’s internal marketing team, was to help it become a better digital business,” said Damon Mangos, executive creative director at Delete. We were able to encourage Carluccio’s to make a bolder statement of who they are. Honestly Italian is the expression of a philosophy that Carluccio’s is already living and breathing – they just needed a better way to present it. By re-establishing this point of authenticity and differentiation, we hope to reposition Carluccio’s in the digital high street.”

Alison Dilley, head of marketing at Carluccio’s, said the website project had placed “equal importance on the creative execution of the brand and creating a great user experience.”
