A new voucher website has been launched in the UK by the creators of RetailMeNot.com, the most popular voucher site in the US.

VoucherHub.com uses RetailMeNot’s voucher sharing model and is the first website in the UK to offer voucher sharing without requiring user registration.

“VoucherHub.com is committed to putting the consumer first,” says Alex Rabarts, managing director of VoucherHub.com. “As RetailMeNot.com has proven, a great user experience is the most important factor in building a loyal and active online community, sustaining web traffic and driving revenue for affiliate partners.”

“The voucher website industry in the UK is stagnant and many of the existing players engage in scammy tactics that mislead consumers,” Rabarts added. “This is not a long-term strategy and is already proving unsuccessful in maintaining the user base.”

Since it launched in 2006, RetailMeNot.com has experienced an average 20% month on month growth and now sees upwards of 10 million visitors each month. Retailers generated more than £10.9 million in sales through RetailMeNot.com in July 2009 alone. In 2008, Commission Junction awarded RetailMeNot.com its Publisher of the Year Award for the largest year-over-year increase in revenue and the greatest percentage of growth.

“In the US market, RetailMeNot.com’s voucher-sharing model has been undeniably successful in creating value for consumers resulting in high volumes of traffic and impressive sales for our US retailers,” says Daniel Powel, head of account management for the UK at Commission Junction. “We are delighted that the team has developed a bespoke offering for the UK market and expect to see the same successes here.”
