InPost rolls out mobile digital receipts across its UK locker network to make life easier for shoppers

InPost lockers are going digital making it easier for shoppers to use them

Locker delivery brand InPost is to roll out digital receipts for mobile across its UK locker network, to make dropping off parcels at lockers even easier for its customers.

 

Replacing traditional paper-based receipts, the new technology means that customers using its lockers to make returns or send parcels can receive proof of postage directly to their smartphone.

 

All they need to do is simply scan the QR code presented on screen when they drop off their item. This automatically registers their parcel ID and takes them to the InPost site, where they can simply enter their email address via their smartphone and go.

 

InPost offers customers the ability to track their item across its entire onward journey, from collection by courier right to the point of delivery, meaning they can be sure their parcel is safe and secure. This end-to-end visibility also means that returns customers are able to confirm when a parcel has been delivered to a retailer, influencing when they may expect to receive a refund.

 

Jason Tavaria, CEO at InPost explains: “We’re always looking for ways to make lives easier for our customers. We also know tracking is important, especially when making returns. The new digital receipts mean our lockers are now even faster, and even greener to use. With the ability to enter in contact details through your smartphone, they are also as contact-free as possible.”

 

He continues: “With delivery networks already stretched this peak season, out-of-store click and collect options are able to add some much-needed capacity into the system. And with lockers open 24/7 customers can skip the queues and make collections and returns, or send parcels, any time that suits them.”

 

InPost partners with brands including Missguided, Boohoo and JD Sports, as well as being able to collect returns.
