Tesco delivery

Tesco is increasing its minimum spend which customers have to reach when shopping online to be eligible for home delivery.

From today (2 May 2023), customers of the Big 4 grocer would have to spend a minimum of £50, up from the current £40 spend.

Tesco, which has been ranked as an Elite retailer in the RXUK’s 2023 Top500 report, is also increasing its basket charge, for those customers who don’t reach the minimum spend.

Instead of the current £4 spent, customers will be charged £5 if they do not reach the minimum £50 spend.

“To ensure we can continue to serve our online customers as effectively as possible, from May 2 we are making some changes to our minimum basket threshold, the first change we are making in nearly eight years,” A Tesco spokesperson told InternetRetailing.

“For the vast majority of our customers, there will be no change to the way they shop.”
