Aiming at getting non-credit card users in the UK and Germany shopping online, pre-paid cash company Ukash has launched Ukash NEO, a prepaid virtual MasterCard that allows consumers to shop online using cash anywhere MasterCard is accepted.

And by featuring Ukash NEO on their websites, retailers will create a lucrative new revenue stream as the payments company offers all online retailers commission on every purchase made using Ukash NEO.

Mark Chirnside, Chief Executive Officer Ukash, which has a presence in 30 countries in six continents worldwide, explained, “Ukash NEO makes shopping online inclusive to all consumers, regardless of financial status, which has never been done before – providing the perfect solution for consumers to shop anywhere online with cash. We are offering retailers the chance to capitalise on the demand in this market and to generate significant revenue simply by offering our payment method to customers.”

The maximum value for Ukash NEO in the UK is £200 and in Germany is EUR 200. This can be spent with every major e-tailer in the UK and Germany, which makes it ideal for sending to friends and family, as it also functions as a universal gift card.

Ukash currently has the world’s largest prepaid-cash issuing estate of 420,000 points of purchase for its pin-based vouchers; and the introduction of Ukash NEO into its range will enable the company to benefit from the buoyant European Prepaid market of online gifting and corporate prepaid programmers.
