Customers of online ticket exchange Viagogo will soon be able to use the site to find out more about venues, shows and performances.

They’ll be able to use the site to ask questions on subjects such as parking at venues and read reviews to find out how other users rate an event. The new features are powered by Bazaarvoice’s social media platform.

It’s hoped the new features, added to Viagogo’s UK, French and German websites, will help the ticket website increase conversions, gain more new customers while improving SEO.

“Viagogo’s core business is about providing real tickets for real fans,’’ said Andy Leaver, vice president of international at Bazaarvoice. “As part of that mission, they wanted to give its users better information from likeminded fans that will help them through the decision making process, both pre- and post purchase.”

Features will include Ratings & Reviews, Ask & Answer, and Stories, where fans can share their festival, concert or match memories. Bazaarvoice’s Stories will feature in future promotions of the site.

Social commerce technology company Bazaarvoice was founded in 2005. Its UK customers also include Argos, Boots, Halfords and Wickes.
