Social media specialist Bazaarvoice has launched SocialConnect, a product that allows retailers and brand marketers to integrate content from Facebook, Twitter and other social channels with their own websites.

SocialConnect allows retailers to take customer content published on their website to social media sites, while also collecting reviews and stories about their brand on Facebook, and linking back to their site.

For example, using SocialConnect’s Shout it! Feature, consumers can publish any product, story, product photo or other content to their personal page on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace or other social network. The post includes the brand’s logo, an excerpt of the content, comments from the user and a direct link to the retailer’s website. Other features include Publish it! and Like It!

SocialConnect Syndication allows marketers to share their customers’ comments, reviews, stories and answers to their questions on corporate Twitter accounts, while SocialConnect Applications means that clients can develop custom experiences within Facebook and other social networks, adding users’ favourites, opinions and top-rated product to their own Facebook fan page.

Finally, SocialConnect Friends allows consumers to find reviews from their friends without leaving the brand’s website, answering the question: what is the best product based on what my Facebook friends or Twitter followers like?

“Bazaarvoice helps brands connect with consumers over the social web in ways that create authentic conversations and drive measurable sales,” said Mike Svatek, chief product officer at Bazaarvoice.
