Carrefour Poland is introducing a new same-day grocery delivery service from selected stores.
Called Carrefour Sprint, the service will allow shoppers within the 5km radius of a store to receive orders from carrefour.pl or the Carrefour mobile app in under three hours.
From today (15 October) it is available from the Carrefour hypermarket in Warsaw’s Arkadia area. It will be rolled out to other stores in Warsaw from 16 October to 19 October, before extending to Krakow and Gdansk by the end of the month.
The news follows Carrefour Poland introducing a click and collect service for grocery shopping in spring of this year.
Michał Sacha, member of the board, director of marketing, digital, IT, e-commerce and financial services at Carrefour Polska, said: “Launching Carrefour Sprint is the next stage in the development of our e-grocery and an important element of the omnichannel strategy implemented by Carrefour.
“In line with our ambitions, we want to meet and even anticipate the needs of our customers and offer them a wide range of comfortable solutions facilitating the purchasing process.
“Carrefour Sprint responds to the need to order basic online purchases made on Carrefour.pl and in the My Carrefour application, with short delivery times to your home. We start in selected stores, first in Warsaw, then in Krakow and we plan to gradually expand the range of Carrefour Sprint to include other cities.”
