Within the Data & Innovation section, the report highlights how as part of its ambitious ‘The Great R’ strategic plan for 2026, La Redoute is aiming to become a ‘data-driven’ company. It will use its data to better serve its customers while taking better control of its operations.
The French fashion and homeware retailer, which has recently set up subsidiaries in Italy, France, Germany and The Netherlands, said it plans to transform into a platform. By doing so it will be able to develop personalised offers, guarantee integration between sales channels and protect its margins.
La Redoute explained in its ‘Back to the Great R’ statement that data would drive its every decision and action. It would also work with its collaborations to ensure they were trained to analyse and interpret data.
The retailer, which is part of the Galeries Lafayette Group, believes that understanding its data better will also future-proof the business, enabling it to integrate technological innovations easily, including voice interface, visual recognition and artificial intelligence.
La Redoute also admitted that it will better harness its data to learn from previous mistakes, it said all future projects will be evaluated on the basis of customer satisfaction. It will incorporate feedback into all areas.
