Swiss beauty brand la prairie has launched new sites in the UK, US and Australia, and plans to launch eight more by 2016.

The brand previously used a combination of hosted and on-premise platforms but has now moved to Demandware as it looks to expand around the world.

“What we call the ‘la prairie world’ is a luxury experience that offers exquisite attention to detail in product creation and appearance,” said Renee Tavoularis, vice president, global ecommerce and digital marketing, la prairie. “With Demandware, we are able to extend this brand experience to our digital presence on a global scale, effectively reaching our always-connected consumer wherever she is.”

la prairie’s new sites aim to emphasise strong imagery and immersive brand experiences, such as the interactive Your Skincare Advisor tool.

“la prairie has an aggressive growth strategy and realised it could not move fast enough with its legacy platforms,” said Jeffrey Barnett, chief operating officer at Demandware. “With Demandware, la prairie now has a platform that enables unparalleled speed and agility, and will readily scale to support its growth initiatives across channels, devices and geographies. We’re delighted to add this world-renowned beauty brand to our client roster.”
