Mobile Fun to expand further in Europe

Mobile accessories retailer Mobile Fun has appointed a head of international as it looks to expand further across Europe.

The company already sells in Germany and France, but new hire Richard Moore, who joins from an international publishing company, will be looking to take the geographical expansion further, adding new Spanish and Dutch sites in coming months.

Mobile Fun’s German site has enjoyed fast growth since it launched in 2008, while the company says mobilefun.fr, launched last year, is now exceeding its initial sales targets.

Moore said: “Following the successful introduction of our second international website, we now have a repeatable and sustainable international strategy in place. As head of international, my main responsibility is to ensure our continued international growth. This is especially important with our plans to add Spanish and Dutch websites to our portfolio in the next six months.”

Moore will report to managing director Mohammed Hussain, who said: “His appointment will strengthen our continuing growth both within the UK and abroad, by ensuring that all international opportunities are identified and acted on as quickly as possible.”
