Fashion ecommerce specialist Visualsoft has won the the Design of the Year category in the third annual Punctum Day Awards for the home page it designed for Norwich-based men’s fashion boutique Jonathan Trumbull and Hatters.

The awards are run by US-based iStockphoto.com, the popular royalty-free multimedia stock website, and attracted a huge number of entries from designers and photographers all over the world. Overall, this year’s competition drew 1.75m entries.

“We are delighted that the quality of our work for Jonathan Trumbull and Hatters has been recognised in this way. It’s a fantastic win for Visualsoft — a truly international award voted for by leading industry figures and online by our peers from around the world.” says the firm’s Richard Bendelow. “It’s particularly satisfying that we won for our work in the designer fashion sector as we have now designed more than 60 fashion web sites in the UK, including our own portal site, www.designerclothing.com.”

Jamie Beavis, head of online operations for Jonathan Trumbull & Hatters, adds “Visualsoft were asked to come up with something high class and top end which reflected our store’s values and ethos. They captured it perfectly with the first design they came up with and we immediately knew it would be a winner.”
