The nuts and bolts of online retailing

This is an archived article - we have removed images and other assets but have left the text unchanged for your reference

In today’s InternetRetailing newsletter we’re focusing on some of the underlying technologies that make online retailing perform still better. To that end, we report on how most UK retailers are now using marketplaces to sell online, and many to sell overseas, according to new research. We also take a look at the importance of search through two stories. The first comes from Bathrooms.com which has had a bathroom made out of chocolate to illustrate the importance of catering for misspellings in SEO, while a case study from Chemist Direct illustrates the difference in-site search can make. Today’s guest comment from Michael Rausch of Become Europe takes a fresh look at price comparison.

Elsewhere today we also report on Game’s rising sales, and at where workers are buying when they shop from work.
